Man Utd: £100k-a-week star ‘looking towards January exit’ at Old Trafford

Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is ‘looking towards a January exit’ at this moment in time, according to journalist Dean Jones.

The 25-year-old has been unable to force his way into the starting XI at Old Trafford since making a £40 million move from Ajax back in 2020 and could seek pastures new imminently.

A recent report by 90min claims that Van de Beek has been granted permission to leave the club in January by the United hierarchy following his disappointing two-and-a-half-year spell at the club.

French outlet Jeunes Footeux (via the Daily Mail) state that Leicester City are eager to give Van de Beek another chance in the Premier League as they search for Youri Tielemans’ heir.

Brendan Rodgers’ charges are said to be wanting to snap up the engine room operator on loan with an option to buy for £13m with Tielemans into the final year of his existing deal at the King Power Stadium.

It could be a transfer that works for all parties involved given the circumstances, but one that may still leave a bitter taste for everyone associated with United.

When Van de Beek arrived in the red half of Manchester, there was much fanfare due to his impressive exploits with Ajax both domestically and in the Champions League.

He said: “It’s tough to take. I mean, at the moment, he’s looking towards a January
