Leicester blow over £110k-a-week star 'terrible timing' at King Power
Leicester being without James Maddison for their trip to Leeds is “terrible timing” for the Midlands club, according to insider Dean Jones.
The one-cap England international has been in scintillating form for the Foxes this season but is unavailable for the crucial clash at Elland Road.
Leicester are rock bottom of the Premier League with only one victory from their opening 10 league matches.
As a result, they're in danger of ending their nine-year stay at top-flight level if results don't improve quickly.
But Maddison has been the one positive for the Foxes, with the attacking midfielder chipping in with five goals and two assists.
He wasn't able to continue his impressive form against Crystal Palace on Saturday in what proved a frustrating afternoon for everyone connected with Leicester.
And their day went from bad to worse deep into stoppage-time when Maddison picked up a costly booking, which was his fifth of the season, meaning he's suspended for the game in south Yorkshire.
He told GIVEMESPORT: "It's terrible timing. He is their best player by such a distance and Rodgers needs him out on that pitch.
"Those two have probably bonded at a time when Leicester really needed something to come through and he's been the only hope a lot of the time."
Despite doing the majority of his best work in central areas, Maddison has spent most of this season playing on the right.
The only other time Maddison missed out recently was the defeat at Chelsea, and on that occasion Dennis Praet came into the starting XI.
Praet has only played 18 minutes across the six matches since his start at Stamford Bridge, which means Brendan Rodgers might look elsewhere in the squad.
Should that prove the case, he could either bring back Jamie Vardy
