Man United transfer news LIVE: Rashford exit, Garnacho interest, Denis Law tributes

Hello and welcome to today's Manchester United transfer blog from the Manchester Evening News.

Following Thursday's 3-1 win over bottom-of-the table Southampton, attention of Ruben Amorim and the United squad turns to Sunday's home clash against Brighton and Hove Albion. Amad was the hero against the Saints with a late hat-trick that saw United come from behind to take all three points.

But the January transfer window remains open, and with that comes talk and rumours of who may be coming and going over the next few weeks. Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho are two of the players linked with an exit.

United have also been credited with an interest in a number of players, but they must first sell before they can make a move for anyone.

There was also the sad news last night of the death of United legend Denis Law, who passed away at the age of 84.

We'll bring you all of the latest news, reports and rumours, and we may even throw in some match preview bits too, in live updates throughout the day right here.

Manchester United remain 'seriously interested' in a summer move for Borussia Dortmund's Jame Gittens, according to Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg.

They however face competition from Bayern Munich. Other competition could also come from Chelsea, with football.london reporting that Gittens is on their list of possible targets in January, along with United's Alejandro Garnacho.

Hello United fans, good morning and happy Saturday.

Stay right here for all of the latest news and rumours throughout the day.
