Man United transfer news LIVE: Carlos Baleba 'talks', Joshua Zirkzee offer, Manu Kone interest

There's now just a matter of days until the January transfer window opens with clubs looking to tweak their squads with both incomings and outgoings for the second half of the season.

United have been linked with both arrivals and exits over the last few weeks. A move for Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo now appears unlikely with the player reportedly preferring a move to Man City.

Concentration could instead be on strengthening the midfield, especially given the injury to club captain Bruno Fernandes. Carlos Baleba, Elliot Anderson and Adam Wharton are among the names to be linked.

There is talk of possible outgoings too. Roma are pushing to sign Joshua Zirkzee, while Kobbie Mainoo has been linked with Napoli. However, exits could be delayed until Bryan Mbeumo and Amad return from Africa Cup of Nations duty.

On the pitch, United are preparing for their Premier League clash against Wolves on Tuesday night. The bottom side visit Old Trafford in the 8.15pm kick-off.
