Manchester United brought their 2023/24 Premier League campaign to a close with a 2-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Having counted themselves fortunate to go into the half-time interval with the scoreline still level at 0-0, United were much improved after the break. They secured all three points via goals from Diogo Dalot and Rasmus Hojlund.

The latter, fresh from the bench, scored for the second game running, meaning he will head into Saturday's FA Cup final against Manchester City full of confidence. He now has 16 goals in all competitions this term.

Despite securing back-to-back wins to end their Premier League campaign, it was not enough to book a European spot for next season. United must now beat City at Wembley to qualify for the Europa League. Their eighth-placed finish has seen them record their lowest-ever finish in the Premier League era.
