Man United tipped to complete five transfers with £60m striker and Onana replacement
Manchester United went into this summer transfer window with the aim of transforming the team in 2025.
The 2024/25 campaign was deeply disappointing for the Reds. They crashed out of the Carabao Cup early, lost to Fulham in the FA Cup round of 16, sacrificed their Premier League campaign to focus on the Europa League, only to lose the final and finish 15th in the top flight. Their sorry season means they will not be in Europe in 2025/26 and will have to try to entice players to the club by selling them Ruben Amorim's vision.
United have already completed their first summer transfer after Matheus Cunha arrived at the Theatre of Dreams from Wolverhampton Wanderers. However, further deals still need to be done this summer if United are to be more competitive next season.
The MEN has now examined the deals United could complete before the end of the transfer window, using the latest transfer odds from bet365.
Bryan Mbeumo
Brentford's forward impressed last season, scoring 20 goals for the Bees. His contributions to Thomas Frank's team have made him a talisman, and there have been reports that Tottenham Hotspur could try to swoop in for the Cameroonian if they were to appoint the Dane.
The Manchester Evening News understands that United remain confident of signing the forward this summer, which is reflected in the odds now suspended for his move to Old Trafford.
United writer George Smith says: "Mbeumo would be an excellent signing for United if they were to pull it off. He is one of the best attackers in the Premier League, and his consistency over the last few seasons has been there for everyone to see. The odds being suspended suggests there is a strong chance of it now happening."
