Man United star should avoid Erik ten Hag transfer temptation as Casemiro plan emerges
Manchester United got their first piece of summer transfer business through the door when the club announced the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday. The Brazilian has made the £62.5 million move and has penned a five-year contract, with the option of a further 12 months.
While United have splashed out a considerable fee for Cunha, more are expected to follow. Ruben Amorim's side have seen a bid - believed to be worth £55m - rejected by Brentford for Bryan Mbeumo. The Reds are anticipated to return with a second offer for the talented Cameroonian.
As well as Cunha and Mbeumo, United are expected to target a new No.9. Viktor Gyokeres as emerged as the favourite to fill that role after it emerged that he is 'open' to signing for United.
Elsewhere, United could look to add another goalkeeper with Emiliano Martinez linked, but the focus is set to be on departures. Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho are three players that have been tipped to leave Old Trafford, while Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund might follow.
