Man United 'set sights' on Jadon Sancho replacement as Jarrad Branthwaite development emerges

Manchester United are planning a sensational move to bring Barcelona winger Raphinha to Old Trafford this summer, according to reports.

Spanish outlet Sport have claimed that United are aiming to sell Jadon Sancho and Antony this summer and replace them with the former Leeds United star. Both players have been subject of interest this summer but currently remain part of Erik ten Hag's plans.

The report states that United have 'entered the fray' for Raphinha after deciding to welcome interest in Sancho and Antony. Various outlets have claimed that Barcelona are keen to sell the Brazilian to raise funds and make space for player registration.

Deco, Barcelona's sporting director, is reportedly set to explain to Raphinha that he won't play a prominent role in Hansi Flick's team if he decides to remain in the club. Sport have claimed that a bid of €60million (£51.2m) from United would be enough for Barca to accept.

Elsewhere, according to the Daily Mail, United have decided they will not spend any more than £60m to bring Jarrad Branthwaite to the club before August 30. The Everton defender had been one of Ten Hag's priority targets earlier in the summer, but the Toffees rejected two bids.

Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt have since signed, but it's understood that Branthwaite remains a target. According to a recent report, the Red Devils' interest could 'go to the wire'.
