Man United have perfect transfer option in Ruben Amorim revolution which spells danger for two stars

Christopher Nkunku has been linked with a move away from Chelsea - and Manchester United should be monitoring his situation.

Plenty of talk since Ruben Amorim's arrival has been over how the Reds will play under their new manager. The 39-year-old has predominantly played a back three at Sporting with pundits and fans debating whether United's current squad is suited to his preferred formation.

PSR (Profit and Sustainability Rules) will restrict transfer business in January when it comes to any incomings with Amorim likely needing to get results from a squad of players which has been largely built under Erik ten Hag. Player sales will be the most likely option as he looks to jettison those who aren't part of his plans.

But Nkunku could be an option worth considering, especially if United can secure a loan deal. The Reds loaned Jadon Sancho to Stamford Bridge in the summer and may be hoping for a favour in return.

And those hopes have been further boosted by reports in the Telegraph who claim that Nkunku is considering his future at Chelsea after failing to secure a regular first-team place under Enzo Maresca.

The 27-year-old has scored 10 goals across all competitions, despite making just 17 appearances. His versatility would also appeal to Amorim where he could play as a number 10 alongside Bruno Fernandes in a 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 and offer United a goalscoring threat upfront.
