He joined the Spanish outfit on a loan deal until the end of the season, offering him the opportunity to get his career back on track after failing to make his mark at Old Trafford.
Exactly 15 weeks since the deal was completed, Antony has grasped the opportunity with both hands and made the most of it.
His first 21 appearances for Betis have seen him score eight goals and register five assists, meaning his tally of 13 direct goal contributions is only four fewer than what he has produced in 96 appearances for United.
His latest strike in green and white saw him score past former United teammate David de Gea for the second time in a week, with his excellent free-kick on Thursday night helping Betis draw 2-2 with Fiorentina in the second leg of their Europa Conference League semi-final.
After uncharacteristically scoring with his right foot in the first leg, his efforts helped Betis seal a 4-3 aggregate victory. It means they will now face Chelsea in the final at the end of May.
As well as scoring Betis' opener in Italy, he also produced the assist for Abde Ezzalzouli's extra-time equaliser that ultimately sealed the tie in Betis' favour.
