Man United handed Marcus Rashford injury concern vs Porto

Manchester United have been handed a fresh injury concern to Marcus Rashford during the Europa League clash with Porto on Thursday night.

Rashford was substituted at the interval in Portugal despite being one of the better performers for the Reds. The England international opened the scoring on seven minutes, cutting inside from the left to beat Diogo Costa at his near post.

United's winger continued to prove he was a threat during the first half testing Joao Mario constantly on the left-hand side. Before the break, Lisandro Martinez went down suffering with a knock leading to some concerns that he may have to be substituted.

However, when Alejandro Garnacho was prepped to come on at the start of the second half it soon became clear that the defender was not the one with a worry next to his fitness. Rashford did not appear to be injured before the break so Erik ten Hag will hope it is nothing serious.

If he has picked up an injury it would top off what has so far been a disappointing evening in Portugal for the Reds. United were 2-0 up inside 20 minutes when Rasmus Hojlund added a second following Rashford's opener.

However, the Reds have since imploded. Pepe pulled one back almost immediately before Samu Omorodion beat Matthijs de Ligt in the air to level proceedings before the half-time whistle.

Five minutes after the restart and United were behind as Omorodion added his second of the game with the backline caught cold.
