Man United can secure PSR transfer workaround with five ideal cut-price Ruben Amorim options
Manchester United's transfer business in the summer has the potential to determine just how successful Ruben Amorim will be at the football club - after a difficult initial four months at the helm.
Amorim's hopes of switching to the Premier League and hitting the ground running hasn't gone to plan. From 21 games across all competitions, United have won 10 and lost nine.
Despite still being in the Europa League and the FA Cup, United now find themselves 15th in the Premier League table and are on course for their worst-ever finish since the top-flight was rebranded in 1992.
In a perfect world, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his recruitment team at Carrington would bring in at least five top players through the door this summer. Unfortunately, PSR concerns and their need to sell players before they buy means United could be limited to what business they can do.
Players like Viktor Gyokeres, Ousmande Diomande, Benjamin Sesko and Victor Osimhen all won't come cheaply. It means United must be savvy in the transfer market to bring in required reinforcements to finally hand Amorim the tools to succeed.
