Man United: Big claim emerges on 93-goal star's Old Trafford future

Marcus Rashford wants to stay at Manchester United, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The 93-goal Red Devils attacker has endured a difficult few months at Old Trafford and has faced uncertainty surrounding his future.

It’s been a really tough season for the England international, who’s scored just five goals in 26 games and has struggled to get any momentum going.

Rashford started the recent victory over Tottenham but playing games from the off have been few and far between of late, with only three Premier League starts in 2022.

As a result, Rashford was dropped from the England squad for this month’s friendlies against Switzerland and Ivory Coast at Wembley.

Furthermore, the 24-year-old recently held talks with United and was set to be considering his options after being overlooked for the Manchester derby earlier this month despite both Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani being sidelined through injured.

Rashford, who’ll have just 12 months left on his Old Trafford contract this summer, was once again left out of the starting XI for the Champions League exit at the hands of Atletico Madrid and is clearly down the pecking order under Ralf Rangnick.

However, despite doubts over his future, O’Rourke still believes that Rashford wants to stay at his boyhood club, even though Barcelona are now interested in signing him.

He told GIVEMESPORT: “I’m sure Marcus Rashford wants to stay at Manchester United and Manchester United probably don’t want to lose Marcus Rashford either.”
