Man United are showing true Rasmus Hojlund transfer colours as laughable £81m statement made

Rasmus Hojlund is a man under-pressure at Manchester United.

The Manchester Evening News understands that United's coaches are losing patience with the striker and it's easy to see why. Hojlund has scored just seven times across all competitions this season, having failed to find the back of the net since December's 2-1 win at Viktoria Plzen.

It's why there are now serious question marks over Hojlund's true potential. The latest Football Observatory figures estimate his value to be between €78million and €98m (around £64m to £81m) which is a laughable figure for a player who is yet to hit 20 goals in a single season for any side.

United secured Hojlund's signature for an initial £64m, potentially rising to £72m, from Atalanta in July 2023, despite their initial stance of not exceeding £60m for the Denmark international. It's already looking like another questionable deal at Old Trafford.
