Man United and Ineos face serious questions as London meeting may seal Erik ten Hag's fate

An overwhelming number of Manchester United fans believe Erik ten Hag is most to blame for the club's struggles on the pitch and insist results will improve if the Dutchman is sacked.

Ten Hag is under increasing pressure at Old Trafford following their dismal start to the season. United have won just three of their opening 10 matches across all competitions.

United began the season with a 1-0 win over Fulham but followed that up with successive losses against Brighton and Liverpool. They secured back-to-back victories over Southampton and Barnsley after the September international break but have since failed to win any of their last five. In that run, United have picked up four draws against Crystal Palace, FC Twente, Porto and Aston Villa, as well as that 3-0 defeat at home to Tottenham.

The scrutiny is mounting on Ten Hag going into the October international break and supporters think that the former Ajax boss is most to blame for United's current on-pitch problems - as highlighted by the results of a survey conducted by the Manchester Evening News.

Of the 765 responses that were submitted, 45 per cent of voters believe Ten Hag should shoulder most of the responsibility for their dire results and performances. The Glazers are second (27 per cent) with the players just behind in third (26 per cent), while Ineos are the least to blame (two per cent).

Unsurprisingly, 66 per cent also think that results will improve if Ten Hag is sacked, with 34 per cent instead believing that the problems run far deeper than him.
