A man was blasted in the leg by suspects on a motorbike after a crash in Cheetham Hill. The attack, in the early hours of Wednesday morning (December 4), was reported on Woodlands Road.

Greater Manchester Police said the violence unfolded after two vehicles first crashed into each other along Crumpsall Lane following a dispute.

One of the vehicles, which was stolen, fled the scene and later smashed into a bollard in Salford. The occupants left the vehicle behind.

Greater Manchester Police said a 50 year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and theft of a motor vehicle. He remains in police custody.
