Man GUILTY of headbutting Roy Keane at Arsenal vs Man Utd match
A 43-year-old man has been found guilty of headbutting football pundit Roy Keane at a match. Scott Law denied headbutting the former Manchester United captain at a fixture where he had been working as a Sky Sports pundit.
Mr Keane and fellow Sky Sports pundit Micah Richards had been walking to do the final match analysis after Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over Manchester United, on September 3 last year, Highbury Corner magistrates’ court heard. Mr Keane was then headbutted through doors at the Emirates Stadium by Law, of Waltham Abbey, Essex.
Law went on trial last week after pleading not guilty to a charge of common assault. But District Judge Angus Hamilton saw through Law's account as he found the Arsenal fan guilty this morning (June 6).

Law’s defence team had alleged that CCTV footage from inside the stadium, shown in court, displayed former Manchester United player Mr Keane elbowing the defendant in the face. Former Manchester City defender Mr Richards denied allegations made by Law's team that he had claimed to see the headbutt because he was Mr Keane's 'mate', 'puppy' and 'stooge'.
The former England international said he 'grappled' with Law following the incident. Mr Richards said he was in 'disbelief' at what he witnessed, and 'felt sorry for Roy' who he described as a friend.
The pundit said 'you wouldn’t get sent off' for actions in CCTV footage, shown in court, that Law’s defence team alleged showed Mr Keane elbowing the defendant in the face. Following the match, footage was widely shared on social media of the former footballer stepping in to calm an apparent confrontation.
