Man City vs Manchester United U21s LIVE kick-off time and updates ahead of Premier League 2 game

Manchester City U21s welcome rivals Manchester United to the Academy Stadium for a Premier League 2 clash on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues currently sit second in the league table, while the Reds find themselves in eighth position. City have lost just twice in the Premier League 2 this term, with both defeats taking place last October. United, meanwhile, have endured somewhat of a difficult campaign and have won just six of their 20 games.

It was City who came out on top when the two sides met in the first U21 derby of the season back in November. The home side opened the scoring, but the Blues quickly took control of the match and went on to win 6-1 at Leigh Sports Village, with Carlos Borges scoring four times.

United's game against Leicester City earlier this week was postponed, while the Blues have also not played since early March.

Kick-off is at 12pm - you can follow all the action from the Academy Stadium LIVE below.

City ran out 6-1 winners when the two sides met earlier in the season.

Carlos Borges scored four times for the away team, while Dire Mebude and Will Dickson also got in on the act.

It was United who actually took the lead early on through Rhys Bennett's header.

It's 2nd vs 8th in the Premier League 2 this afternoon. The derby will kick-off at 12pm.

United have only won six times all season but have also only lost on five occasions, while City have won 12 of their 19 matches.

Hello and welcome to today's derby day blog.
