Benetton v Cardiff live: Kick-off time, TV channel and score updates from European Challenge Cup semi-final

Cardiff will be looking to stay on track to win their third ever Challenge Cup but will first have to overcome a strong Benetton side in the quarter-finals this afternoon (3pm kick-off).

Dai Young's side were mightily impressive last Saturday as they paid tribute to the late former chairman Peter Thomas with a stunning victory over English giants Sale Sharks.

But today they return to the scene of one of the worst defeats in their history, where they suffered the disastrous 69-21 defeat on the final weekend of the 2021/22 season.

Benetton are also in a rich vein of form, having thrashed Irish province Connacht 41-19 in the last 16 of this competition.

Cardiff will know they will need to replicate last weekend's performance against Sale to set up a semi-final against either Toulon or Lyon.

Their cause has not been helped by an injury to talented playmaker Jarrod Evans, who was outstanding at the Arms Park last Saturday, but in his place come veteran outside-half Rhys Priestland who claimed the player of the match gong against the Sharks.

Flanker Thomas Young starts, with captain Josh Turnbull moving to the second row to partner Teddy Williams.

Today's encounter is a special one for Cardiff hooker Kristian Dacey, who is set to make his 200th appearance for the club.
