Man City vs Leeds United U18 LIVE FA Youth Cup final updates from Etihad Stadium

Manchester City's 'Class of 2024' is looking to write itself into club history as they take on Leeds in the FA Youth Cup final tonight.

Only three City teams have listed the trophy before, with Ben Wilkinson's side seeking to emulate the academy teams of 1986, 2008 and 2020 when it comes to lifting the prestigious trophy.

Around 20,000 supporters are expected at the Etihad Stadium, including 6,500 noisy Leeds fans, with the young Blues beating Watford, last year's winners West Ham, Reading, Tottenham and Bristol City to reach this stage.

City's squad includes the likes of Jaden Heskey, Justin Oboavwoduo and Joel Ndala, as a number of youngsters have featured in first team training this season. The young Blues saw Manchester United take their U18 Premier League title off them, as well as beat them in the U18 PL Cup final, so this represents their last chance at silverware this season.

Pep Guardiola spoke of the final earlier on Friday, telling the youngsters: "At this age silverware is important but it is not much. They have to try to win it but anything can happen. It's a process to learn and when you play these finals you always learn.

"For the academy, it's really important. The last years have been unbelievable in many senses."
