Manchester City are looking to continue their unbeaten start to the new Premier League season when they face Crystal Palace at the Etihad Stadium.

The Blues will hope to get back to winning ways after the frantic 3-3 draw at Newcastle on Sunday, and the friendly fixture at Barcelona midweek which also ended 3-3.

Palace have proved to be a tough nut for City to crack in recent seasons, losing only one of their last four league meetings against the Blues and beating them at the Etihad in the corresponding game last season.

Pep Guardiola expects Manchester City to be without Jack Grealish as well as Nathan Ake for today's game. Aymeric Laporte is already out long-term with City not expecting a return for him for at least another month.

The first was a walkover where City didn’t need to get out of second gear, although this one will be a bit more difficult against a Crystal Palace side who know how to get at City's defence. It might be a bit more of a cagey affair, although after recent results vs Palace City will just be happy with three points. A win is slightly more important after last week’s battle at Newcastle.
