Man City title celebration details and who will present Premier League trophy

Manchester City will lift the Premier League trophy after Sunday's meeting with Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium.

The title victory was confirmed on Saturday night, after Arsenal lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest. City knew the deal could be sealed prior to their own match and Taiwo Awoniyi's 19th-minute strike proved enough for Forest to see off Mikel Arteta's men.

The treble is still on the cards for City, with the league title wrapped up as Champions League and FA Cup finals await. Kick-off against the Blues is 4pm and club captain Ilkay Gundogan will lift the trophy - taking over the honour from former midfielder Fernandinho.

It is the last home match of the season for City and the perfect way to mark it, with a third successive Premier League win and the fifth overall under Pep Guardiola. Passing the trophy to Gundogan will be Alex Williams - the ex-City goalkeeper, who is retiring from his role at City in the Community after 33 years.

On winning the title this season, Gundogan said: "To have helped the club win a third straight Premier League title is something very special. The Premier League is without doubt the most demanding and competitive league in the world, so that tells you everything about what an achievement this is.

"It has been a season I will never forget. Our amazing fans have been with us every single step of the way. Without their amazing backing I don’t think there is any way we would have been able to achieve what we have done these past six seasons. Their passion and support have been so important and inspirational for us all."
