Man City superfan Liam Gallagher shares brutal reaction to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC exit

Manchester music icon and Manchester City super fan Liam Gallagher has unapologetically expressed his true feelings about Jurgen Klopp announcing his forthcoming exit from Liverpool.

The German is set to leave Anfield at the end of the season, ending a long-standing and healthy rivalry with City boss Pep Guardiola. Both clubs have battled together at the top of the Premier League for a number of years with both managers going head-to-head for the biggest domestic and European prizes.

Liverpool have caused City a number of headaches over the last decade, albeit City have often got the better of their opponents. Gallagher, though, is in no mood to offer Klopp any pleasantries after eight-and-a-half years on Merseyside.

Speaking to Radio X, the former Oasis frontman was asked about his thoughts on Klopp’s imminent exit. "Yeah good riddance man," he replied.

Host Johnny Vaughan responded: “Absolutely right. Spoken like a gentleman…" Gallagher - a lifelong City fan - added: "I’ve got nothing, yeah, good riddance. See you later!"

Klopp cited potential burnout and a lack of energy as the reason why he was leaving Liverpool at the end of the season. Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola still has 18 months left on his contract.

The Catalan coach suggested he would be open to an extension when speaking in November. He said: "I have energy. I’m not going to answer.

"One year and a half is a lot of time in football. I arrived here with long hair and look what happened."

Asked specifically whether extending his current contract was a possibility, Guardiola responded: "Yeah of course - can leave tomorrow [too]."
