Man City suffer worrying Erling Haaland injury scare as Norway training video emerges

Manchester City have been handed an enormous injury concern right at the start of the final international break of the season as Erling Haaland was pictured limping in training.

The striker was taken off in the second half against Newcastle during the routine FA Cup quarter-final win on Saturday, prompting fears of an injury. Pep Guardiola played this down though and pushed for his players to be careful whilst on duty with their country.

"He is not my player anymore from now on, what they will decide will be fine," he said. "They know that they fought a lot and train a lot, a lot of adrenaline and concentration to arrive in this position.

"They know they are friendly games and they have to handle it wisely. Hopefully they can do it."

However, videos of Haaland hunched over in training with Norway, holding his knees in discomfort during a session and slowly walking around the practice pitches, is immediate cause for concern. The forward looked to try and play through the problem but didn't appear to be moving well.

He shook his head after hobbling around for 10 seconds and then bent over in what looked to be pain. Haaland will now be hoping to get back to full fitness for matches against Czech Republic and Slovakia in the coming week.

City next play against Arsenal in yet another top of the table Premier League clash. The teams will meet on March 31 at the Etihad Stadium.
