Man City suffer double scare for Real Madrid Champions League quarter-final second leg
Phil Foden is an injury scare for Manchester City's Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid next week, and for the Premier League clash with Luton on Saturday.
Foden scored a wonderful goal as City drew with Real in a thrilling first leg at the Bernabeu on Tuesday. However, he received a kick to his leg in the closing stages and stayed down, looking in some pain as he received treatment.
Pep Guardiola readied Julian Alvarez, who replaced the number 10, and Foden was able to walk off - albeit with a heavy limp and he was wincing as he made his way to the sidelines.

Foden could be seen with his teammates at full time saluting the away fans in the top tier, where he was still limping, but walking a little more freely than when he was replaced. He will now be assessed ahead of the weekend clash with Luton in the Premier League on Saturday.
The scare comes after Kevin De Bruyne missed the game through illness, reporting to the Bernabeu with a sickness and withdrawing from the planned starting XI. He did not warm up at any stage and wore a big coat throughout the evening on the bench.
Nathan Ake and Kyle Walker missed the game through injury and are doubts for the second leg. However, City can plan for Ruben Dias to be available after he got through the first leg without receiving a booking that would have seen him suspended for the Etihad fixture.
