Man City's 'stance' on Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva outlined and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are reportedly 'desperate' to not lose midfield duo Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva in the summer transfer window.

According to Football Insider, Pep Guardiola's side are reluctant to see the pair depart in the same transfer window, with both players having been liked with moves away from the Etihad Stadium. Gundogan is out of contract at City at the end of the season and is said to be attracting interest from Barcelona.

Bernardo, meanwhile, has also been touted as a transfer target for the Catalan giants, with the Spanish side showing interest in the 28-year-old last summer. Reports have claimed that the Portugal international would be open to a move to Camp Nou, but Guardiola is keen to keep the player in Manchester.

The report adds Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Bernardo's situation, but the former Monaco ace could still remain at the Etihad. The midfielder has made 43 appearances in all competitions this term, while captain Gundogan has featured on 40 occasions.

Elsewhere, The Times have reported that England international Jude Bellingham would rather stay at Borussia Dortmund and reassess his future in 2024 than make a move that is not right for him this summer.

The 19-year-old midfielder has impressed for both club and country in recent months, having featured in every match for the Three Lions at the World Cup in Qatar. Moreover, he has registered 10 goals and seven assists in 38 appearances for Dortmund this season.

Bellingham has been linked with several clubs, however, it is thought that City are in the hunt for his signature in the upcoming transfer window.
