Man City's best ever Premier League transfers selected as club legends lead nominations

In recent years, Manchester City have proven themselves to be masters of the transfer market, bringing in a plethora of talent to help transform the club and help them on their way to countless amounts of silverware.

A handful of those transfers have gone on to be regarded as some of the best in Premier League history, and we want you to vote for your favourite from our list of nominations.

We start with a deal completed almost 15 years ago in 2008, when defender Vincent Kompany made the £10m move to Manchester from Hamburg. 360 appearances, 20 goals and one statue later, it’s safe to say that the Belgian experienced it all in a City shirt and saw the club go from strength to strength. You certainly can’t argue that he wasn’t value for money.

Two years later Kompany was joined by a whole host of new signings as City’s new era truly got going - one of which was Spanish midfielder David Silva . Arriving from Valencia for £28m, Silva wowed City supporters with his ability and was part of the side that won the FA Cup in his first season in 2011. He went on to win 11 major honours in Manchester and make over 400 appearances. Magic.

Shortly after, City signed the player who has perhaps provided them with their most iconic moment, as striker Sergio Aguero signed for £38m from Atletico Madrid in 2011. The Argentine transformed Roberto Mancini’s forward line and scored the most iconic goal in Premier League history to win the club the league title in the most dramatic fashion at the end of his debut season. Aguero racked up 260 goals in his time at City, and staked his claim as one of the league’s greatest ever forwards.
