Man City predicted line-up vs Bournemouth as Julian Alvarez and Jeremy Doku start

Manchester City will be targeting a second successive victory when they face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday evening.

City, who have won each of the 13 previous Premier League meetings between the two clubs, will be looking to build on Tuesday night's 1-0 win over Brentford at the Etihad Stadium. Erling Haaland netted the only goal of the game to seal a return to winning ways for Pep Guardiola's side.

City, three days earlier, had dropped points at home to Chelsea, drawing 1-1, bringing an end to their 11-game winning run in all competitions. Though they were made to work hard for all three points against Brentford, Haaland's winner, initially, moved them to within one point of table-toppers Liverpool.

However, the Merseysiders responded with a 4-1 win over Luton Town 24 hours later, reopening a four-point gap. But with Jurgen Klopp's side contesting the Carabao Cup final this weekend, City have the chance to put a little bit of pressure on the Anfield club.

With the exception of one or two question marks, Guardiola has a near-full-strength squad to pick from, meaning he will not be light on options this weekend. As ever, Ederson is expected to start between the posts and rack up his 25th Premier League appearance of the season.

As for the back-four, Guardiola could reinstate Nathan Ake to the left-back berth after Manuel Akanji was given the nod in midweek, handing the Netherlands international a rare breather. The former Bournemouth man has featured in all but five of City's 25 league matches this season.
