Gareth Southgate hands Manchester United transfer dilemma with huge England decision

Jarrad Branthwaite's incoming England call-up could serve as a potential hiccup for Manchester United this summer.

The 21-year-old defender has been a stand-out performer for Sean Dyche's side this season and has been included in England's senior squad for their upcoming internationals against Brazil and Belgium. MEN Sport understands that Branthwaite is a player being eyed by Sir Jim Ratcliffe as part of a summer overhaul for Erik ten Hag's side.

Having spent last season on loan with Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, the Carlisle-born defender has so far made 31 appearances for the Toffees this season and is likely to cost the Red Devils in the region of £75 million should they wish to pull the trigger on a sign come the summer months.
