Man City player ratings vs Wydad with two 8/10s as Rayan Cherki and Tijjani Reijnders debut
Manchester City got off to a winning start in the Club World Cup with a comfortable 2-0 win over Wydad AC. Phil Foden scored the fastest goal so far in the tournament as he netted in under two minutes to get the Blues on their way.
The Moroccan side did cause a few problems for a City side featuring Tijjani Riejnders and Rayan Cherki on debut, but when Jeremy Doku converted a Foden corner just before half-time it cemented the supremacy of the Premier League team. City played out the second half in control, with Rodri and Erling Haaland among the substitutes to come on as Guardiola looks to use all of his squad in the tournament.
City, who saw Rico Lewis sent off late on. next play against UAE team Al Ain before their final group game against Juventus next week. Here is how the players rated against Wydad.
