Ederson: Ridiculously cool under pressure in possession and his long game was also excellent, not far off an assist. 8

Walker: Used his pace well and found some joy attacking high up on the right. Clever for the second goal. 8

Akanji: A shaky start was followed by a more composed performance and helped City control the second half. 7

Ake: A welcome return to the team after his summer injury and he earned his clean sheet with a solid performance. 7

Lewis: Showed his versatility charging up and down the pitch, although was targeted by Burnley and gave the ball away too many times. 6

Rodri: A regular threat in attack and countless defensive interventions to make sure his team got the result. 9

De Bruyne: Looked menacing and put in a terrific cross for the first goal but another early injury. 7

Alvarez: Found space in the box to tee up Haaland's second but otherwise struggled to stay involved. 6

Silva: A quiet start became a classic Silva performance buzzing about everywhere keeping possession and moving it forward. 8

Foden: Nothing came off for him but he linked well with Haaland and was threatening running behind the defence all game. 7

Haaland: Two quality goals that made the difference. He can have as few touches as he likes when he wins games like that. 9
