Manchester City have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Benfica defender Alex Grimaldo as the club look at options away from Brighton's Marc Cucurella.
According to iNews, City are one of several Premier League clubs that the 26-year-old has been offered to and a deal could be done for as little as £15m. As Pep Guardiola's side struggle to make headway with a deal for Cucurella due to a £50m price tag, a move for Grimaldo could be a much more economical piece of business.
The left-back made 47 appearances for Benfica in all competitions last season and was a key player in a side that made it to the Champions League quarter-finals, eventually losing out to Liverpool. Should Oleksandr Zinchenko's exit be confirmed, Joao Cancelo will be the only recognised senior left-back at the club.

Elsewhere, reports have surfaced regarding City's interest in signing Peterborough United's Ronnie Edwards.
According to the Peterborough Telegraph, the Premier League champions are interested in signing the centre-back but face stiff competition from a host of other top-flight teams. The 19-year-old is thought to be wanted by Tottenham Hotspur and has even been recommended to Manchester United by Sir Alex Ferguson.
Barry Fry has confirmed that contact between the clubs had been made, saying "City did make a phone call", but Fry expects any deal for the talented youngster to involve a loan back to the club. It appears that the Blues will need to act fast if they want to bolster their already impressive array of youngsters.
