Man City next target is looming after Champions League scare

Manchester City players know that they need to start winning Premier League games again after coming through a scare in the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola's side went 2-0 down at home to RB Leipzig on Tuesday night when they needed just a point to confirm top spot in the group, A second-half response ensured that not only did the Blues got what they needed but they also came away with the win after goals from Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Julian Alvarez.

With a favourable last-16 draw secured (hypothetically, at least), City can now concentrate on other competitions until February. That will include the Club World Cup and FA Cup, but first the players know they need to get back to winning ways in the Premier League after consecutive draws against Chelsea and Liverpool.
