Rosenior excited by Delap capture

Hull City boss Liam Rosenior has outlined why he is so excited to work with 'freak' Man City loanee Liam Delap.

The Manchester City striker has signed a season-long deal with the Tigers and will no doubt be hoping to impress during his spell at the MKM Stadium. Delap spent last season in the Championship with Stoke City and Preston North End.

He endured mixed spells at both clubs, returning from Stoke in January in what was his first senior loan. He'll now be working under Rosenior, who has a reputation for developing and nurturing young talent.

City youngster sends message after signing first pro contract

Farid Alfa-Ruprecht has expressed his delight at signing his first professional contract at Manchester City.

Alfa-Ruprecht played 21 times for City's under-18 side as they won the Under-18 Premier League for the fourth year in succession, while he also played for the under-19s in the UEFA Youth League. He ended the season with three goals and three assists having signed last summer from Hamburg.

Now, the 17-year-old has been rewarded with a professional contract after a promising first season in Manchester, and he will hope for more opportunities as other forwards take a step up to the Elite Development Squad next term.
