Man City launch new home kit for 2024/25 season and decide on debut

Manchester City will debut their new home kit on the pre-season tour after launching the latest version with Puma.

Next season's shirt will feature a tribute to the 0161 dialling code of Manchester and was launched with Mancunian rapper Mikey Taylor (Tays) in the promotional video. The replica jersey is also made up of at least 95% of recycled textile waste as part of Puma's RE:FIBRE initiative to work towards a more sustainable future.

“As a City fan, it is a dream come true to write and perform a track for the launch of the new Manchester City 24/25 Home kit, celebrating 0161 and what it is to be Mancunian," said Tays. "I love how it’s in the design of the shirt – it’s fresh, but still reflects what it means to be City. I hope fans around the world connect with the track, and I can’t wait to see the team walk out in this kit.”

However, the kit will not be seen this season as City have opted to stick with this season's version for their two remaining fixtures. Last year they wore the new kit for the final league game of the season at Brentford with the league already won, but reverted back for the FA Cup final.

The decision to stick with the current kit for their remaining matches with West Ham in the Premier League and United in the FA Cup means that it will be the pre-season tour in July before the players wear the new edition in a match. City are back in the United States this year having gone to Japan and South Korea last summer, with matches in North Carolina, New York, Florida, and Ohio.
