Man City ‘in talks with Arsenal’ over three players and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are said to be in dialogue with Arsenal over the potential exits of two players and the acquisition of a Gunners defender.

Pep Guardiola’s pursuit of Brighton full-back Marc Cucurella doesn't appeared to have progressed in recent days. Nevertheless, the Catalan coach is reportedly making contingency plans if a deal cannot be secured.

The Scotsman reports that City are keeping an eye on Kieran Tierney as an alternative option. The full-back has impressed since making the switch from Celtic in 2019 despite frequent injury setbacks.

The Daily Mail adds that the Premier League champions are also in discussions with Arsenal regarding Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus. Both have been linked with a reunion with former City assistant Mikel Arteta at the Emirates with the duo eager to secure regular game time.

Meanwhile, the Sun says Raheem Sterling wants assurances from Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel before considering a Stamford Bridge switch. Reports over the past few days have linked the England international with a move to the Blues with the player tipped for a summer Etihad exit.

Sterling has 12 months left on his deal and City could allow him to leave to recoup money from his £49m transfer from Liverpool in 2015. In fact, they could even make a profit with rumours that City could command up to £60m for his departure.

The 27-year-old will only entertain a move to Chelsea, though, if he is promised regular minutes. He wishes to still be competing for trophies and does not want to benched too often.
