Man City handed fresh John Stones injury worry ahead of Arsenal Premier League fixture

John Stones was forced off with injury in the first half of England's friendly with Belgium at Wembley on Tuesday evening.

The defender was seen holding his right leg after making a couple of passes inside the first 10 minutes of the game. Manchester City face Arsenal on Sunday in a crunch Premier League title clash.

It adds to Pep Guardiola's concerns heading into the weekend with Kyle Walker having been forced off in England's defeat to Brazil on Saturday. The full back's injury is not thought to be serious but with Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish having not reported for international duty due to issues, albeit both are set to be fit for the weekend, and Manuel Akanji pulling out of Switzerland's game with Ireland, City face plenty of question marks around the fitness of key players.

Losing Stones would be a significant blow with the centre back having suffered with injuries this term. The 29-year-old is a key man for club and country.

City's players are due to report back to the club on Thursday ahead of the Arsenal showdown, where Guardiola will assess the state of his squad. Erling Haaland revealed Guardiola jokingly told his players he would 'come after them' if they got injured this week, having previously told them publicly to be sensible over their workload ahead of a busy schedule ahead for City.
