Man City fixture list compared to Arsenal and Liverpool amid Premier League & Champions League farce

Manchester City have 10 remaining Premier League matches, while still fighting in an FA Cup semi-final and Champions League quarter final.

City will play twice a week for the remainder of the season and could find themselves in a situation where they may not have the chance to top the table until the last week of the season. After the Blues progressed to the FA Cup last four with victory over Newcastle, City's league fixture away to Spurs will now be rearranged, likely in the final midweek of the campaign.

City's match away to Brighton has been rearranged to Thursday April 25, after it was postponed as a result of their FA Cup quarter-final involvement. There are currently four available midweek slots left of season to play fixtures, however two of these are taken up by the Champions League semi-finals should City beat Real Madrid over two legs.

UEFA used to insist on a 'memorandum of understanding' that clubs would not schedule domestic top flight games on the same nights as Champions League fixtures, although this was relaxed in 2022 after the fixture congestion resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic.
