Man City duo train ahead of Crystal Palace clash as Julian Alvarez makes Pep Guardiola admission

Here are your Manchester City evening headlines on Wednesday, March 8.

Phil Foden and Kyle Walker both took part in full training as Manchester City prepare for three games in three competitions.

Pep Guardiola gave his squad a couple of days off after Saturday's win over Newcastle to allow the players some time away from the club. They returned to train on Monday as they look ahead to the Premier League match with Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Foden trained as usual despite admitting that he had suffered more damage to his foot in the Newcastle game. The 22-year-old had said that he hoped a few days of rest would allow him to heal properly and showed no signs of discomfort as he trained with the group on Tuesday.

Guardiola oversaw a full squad in training, with John Stones and Aymeric Laporte having returned to the matchday squad against Newcastle and available for future games.

Julian Alvarez admits he is still adapting to life in England but is always learning from Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

Alvarez joined City in January 2022 but spent the second half of last season back on loan at River Plate, finally meeting up with his new teammates last summer.
