Man City discover Conti Cup group stage opponents as Man United absence explained
Manchester City have discovered their opponents for the group stages of the 2023/24 FA Women's Continental Tyres League Cup.
Gareth Taylor's side have been drawn into a tough all-WSL group including Liverpool, Everton and Leicester City. The group stage fixtures will commence in October, shortly after the league season begins and the final will take place on March 31 2024.
Manchester United, on the other hand, are exempt from the group stages as things stand. Clubs competing in the UEFA Women's Champions League will enter at the quarter-final stage.
However, if United or Arsenal are to be knocked out in the qualifying rounds, they will instead enter at the group stage as normal. Marc Skinner's side will automatically be placed into group B, while Arsenal will be drawn into either group C, D or E as part of the southern section.
