Man City 'determined' to sign Haaland with Harry Kane heading to United and more transfer rumours

Manchester City have reportedly turn their attentions away from Harry Kane and towards Erling Haaland ahead of a potential summer move.

The Norweigan striker is set to become available this summer for a cut-price of £63 million - when his release clause kicks in at the end of the season (July 1).

Amongst those who are interested are Man City, and although they're expected to have plenty of competition - Pep Guardiola's team are now seen as the favourites.

Haaland had looked at one stage to be leaning towards a move to Spain, with Real looking to be the favourites to land his signature, although the La Liga giants’ pursuit of Kylian Mbappe could prevent them from splashing out on the Norwegian.

Sports Illustrated have reported that City have turned their attentions away from previous target Kane, and towards Haaland - with Manchester Evening News reporter Simon Bajkowski adding that City are determined to sign the striker after a Kane for move never materialised.

And because of this, Harry Kane is now expected to join Manchester United.

A report from Bild has stated that United are likely to move on from Edinson Cavani, and potentially Cristiano Ronaldo, with Ralf Rangnick and the new incoming manager looking to rebuild around Kane.

Kane is expected to cost a considerable amount more than Haaland would, whilst the Norweigan being eight years younger.

Finally, City could be set to lose one of their players of the season - with Bernardo Silva potentially leaving for Real Madrid.

The Spaniard had wanted a move away from the club last summer, and could still look to leave although having his best season in a City shirt this campaign.
