Man City 'convinced' they will beat Manchester United to sign Jude Bellingham and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are reportedly 'convinced' that they will win the race to sign Jude Bellingham, beating rivals Manchester United.

Bellingham is one of the most sought after players in Europe right now. At just 19-years-old, he has already demonstrated that he has what it takes to become one of the best midfielders in the world.

United have been heavily linked with a move for the Dortmund player, and fans were ecstatic when he scored for his Bundesliga team against City in the Champions League. However, it now seems to be Pep Guardiola's side who may have the last laugh.

According to The Sun, City are convinced that they will be the club to sign Bellingham after it was revealed that Dortmund would sell their star player for just £83million, so long as it is paid in one installment. The Blues' financial firepower, ability to win silverware and opportunity for the teenager to reunite with Erling Haaland, could make all the difference in being the club to seal the deal for the young midfielder.

United spent a staggering £225million this summer as they brought in six new signings. After their football director John Murtough cautioned against any further similar investment, it appears City are now in pole position to bring Bellingham to the Etihad Stadium in the near future.

Elsewhere, Football Insider report that Phil Foden is set to sign a lucrative new contract with the club that will see him stay at City until 2028.
