Record-breaking Man City create Blues mania and make Celtic jealous

It was a record-breaking start to the summer for City as they came from behind to defeat Yokohama Marinos on Sunday night.

61,618 fans packed into the National Stadium in Japan, the record attendance for a J.League match, and roughly double how many supporters came to watch Marinos against Celtic earlier in the week.

‘Might as well be Celtic’ was the infamous viral cry of United fans in years gone by. They will look on with an element of green (and white hooped) envy at the Man City mania on display.

Just as impressive was the hustle and bustle pre-match as thousands of fans queued for hours to get their pictures taken in the fanzone, as part of a makeshift Treble parade.
