Man City aim cheeky dig at new Liverpool manager Arne Slot

Manchester City posted a video of consecutive wins over Liverpool and Feyenoord, just hours after new Anfield manager Arne Slot gave his first interview since taking over on Merseyside.

Slot is the man chosen to replace Jurgen Klopp, leaving Feyenoord after three years in charge. City visit Liverpool in November in what is set to be their first meeting between Slot and Pep Guardiola's Blues.

Speaking for the first time after taking charge at Liverpool, Slot reserved praise for Guardiola and pitched his abilities as manager to his new fanbase. In one answer, he said: "There's a few similarities between Feyenoord and Liverpool. Both are cities alongside the river, people work on the docks, it's a hard working class, fans that appreciate seeing the team.

"I think these clubs like Feyenoord and Liverpool, from what I saw of it, it just means a bit more for the fans, it just means a bit more if the team does well than at some other places around the world. This is what I felt at Feyenoord and I'm expecting to feel the same here at Anfield as well."

Klopp and players like Trent Alexander-Arnold came in for criticism last season by suggesting their trophies 'mean more' to Liverpool than City's titles. But it is the line that there are similarities between Feyenoord and Liverpool that appears to have caught the attention of the Blues' media team.
