Man City: £123m duo 'levels above everyone' at the Etihad
Manchester City pair Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland are “levels above” anyone they face right now, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The duo, who cost the reigning Premier League champions a combined £123m, have been linking up to blistering effect at the beginning of the season to already put City on course to win a third title on the bounce.
Remarkably, Arsenal’s excellent start means that City aren’t even top of the Premier League, but if De Bruyne and Haaland keep combining like they have done recently, that will surely change.
They’ve already linked up five times in just eight league outings, with the latest two coming in the 6-3 victory over Manchester United on Sunday.
De Bruyne took the corner which Haaland headed home for City’s third before picking out the Norway striker with another perfect cross to make it 3-0.

In just eight top-flight matches, Haaland has scored an incredible 14 goals, while De Bruyne has registered eight assists, equalling his tally from the whole of last season.
City have now scored 29 goals in the league, with De Bruyne or Haaland responsible for 21 of them.
Following the incredible showing in the Manchester derby, Jones has described the pair as simply unstoppable.
He told GIVEMESPORT: “I mean, it’s become the best combination in world football, but you can’t just stop it because you know that that’s what’s going to happen.
“KDB is the best crosser of a ball in the world, probably, and Haaland is undoubtedly the most lethal finisher in the world. So, you can try to cut off the supply lines, but these two are levels above pretty much every single player they come up
