Man charged with rape of woman in her 20s

A man has been charged in connection with the rape of a woman in Wigan.

Police received a report that a woman - aged in her 20s - had been raped by a man on Sunday (February 13).

Gregory Padin, of Liverpool Road North, Merseyside has been charged with rape.

The 42-year-old has been remanded into custody, police said.
