Man charged after armed strike at house in south Manchester
A man has been charged after armed police swooped on a house in south Manchester.
A specialist strike was carried out on a house in Chorlton on Friday (March 18). Detectives have now charged a man from Leigh.
Leon Sharples, of Lord Street, has been charged with robbery, actual bodily harm and possession of a bladed article. These relate to an incident on Hawthorn Grove in Leigh on Saturday, February 19.

The 20-year-old has also been charged with the assault of an emergency worker. This comes after an officer was injured as Sharples was arrested in Chorlton.
He has been remanded into custody. He will appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court this morning.
Police said a 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder has been bailed pending further enquiries.
