Man arrested after woman 'inappropriately touched' at street event
A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after a woman was 'inappropriately touched' at an event in Stockport.
Police were called to the scene of the incident on Church Road in Gatley at around 5.10pm on Sunday (July 2). The attack happened at a street event, the M.E.N understands.
A 46-year-old man was arrested on the scene after officers 'arrived within minutes'. He remains in custody being questioned on suspicion of sexual assault.

Police are now asking anyone who witnessed the 'concerning' incident to come forward. Inspector Martin Baker, from GMP’s Stockport district, said: "This is obviously a very concerning incident and we are working hard to establish all of the facts.
"Our officers were on the scene just minutes after receiving the 999 call; we always take a robust and urgent approach to reports of this nature and we are currently supporting all those involved. I would ask any witnesses to please get in touch with us, as this could aid our investigation."
