Man arrested after glass bottles thrown in tram stop 'altercation' that left one in hospital

Police have made an arrest after glass bottles were thrown in an 'altercation' that left a man in hospital at a tram stop in Trafford on Thursday (March 9).

Emergency services were called out to the Trafford Bar Metrolink station, on Elsinore Road at around 10.30am to reports of a disturbance between three men. The station had to close for a short period causing travel disruption, with trams unable to pass through in both directions.

A number of officers were pictured at the scene on Thursday, with Greater Manchester Police confirming that glass bottles were thrown in the incident and that one man had been taken to hospital from the scene. The nature of his injuries are yet to be confirmed.
