Man, 50, charged after drugs and cash found in M6 police stop

A Manchester man has been charged after police stopped his car on the M6 and found cash and drugs.

Cumbria Police pulled over a silver Mercedes on the M6 motorway near to junction 39 on Friday evening (September 1). Officers recovered a quantity of cash and drugs in the vehicle.

Kai Ling Wang, 50, of Powell Street, Clayton, Manchester has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession of criminal property.

He has been remanded to appear at Barrow Magistrates’ Court on Monday (September 4).

A Cumbria Poice statement said: "Cumbria Police have charged a man with possession with intent to supply following a traffic stop on the M6 on Friday evening (1 Sept).

"Officers stopped a silver Mercedes on the M6 motorway near to junction 39. Kai Ling Wang, 50, of Powell Street, Clayton, Manchester has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug and possession of criminal property.

"He has been remanded to appear at Barrow Magistrates’ Court on Monday (September 4)."
